1868 Restaurant Jerusalem

In the year 1868 Jews who left the Old City of Jerusalem to establish the new city outside the walls, built a beautiful stone house. Inside, the different spaces with their high arched roofs were decorated with Jerusalem stone. Our restaurant is located in this historic building in King David Street in Jerusalem.

The Chef Yankale Turjeman, a native Jerusalemite to his very bones, lived in London and worked in modern European-style restaurants, and now offers a creative menu using best quality seasonal produce from local markets cooked with state of the art methods.

The result is a culinary experience of Kosher food, old and new. Haute cuisine in a typical Jerusalem atmosphere.

The wines are kept in niches in the walls, produce of selected vineyards of the Judean Hills and the Galilee.
